We started our journey in the cute village with strong swiss influence called Bariloche in Rio Negro and finished in Perito Moreno in the Santa Cruz province covering a distance of about 900km. The terrain explored were very diverse with a good mix of cordillera secundaria between Bariloche and El Bolson, deserted trails, crossing "campos" (farms), and a bit of asphalte between El Hoyo and Trevelin. The exact itinerary includes: Bariloche- El Bolson (2 weeks) - El Hoyo- Epuyen- Villa Blanco - Cholila - Villa Rivadavia - Parque de los Alerces (we got lucky there as it was just before they banned horses and dogs from entering the park, 2015) - Trevelin (10 nights) - Huella Andina - Cerro Centinela - Santa Teresita near Corcovado - Carrenleufu - Lago Winter - Lado de los ninos - Estancia 3 valles near Rio Pico - Rio Pico - Alto Rio Pico (las mulas) - Ruta Apeleg - Aldea Apeleg - Laguna Salada  (not a good spot to stop as it was a salted laguna!) - Rio Senguer (1 week) - Estancia Arroyo Verde - Laguna Coyte - Estancia la Rosarina - Estancia El Nire - Estancia Numancia near Aldea Beleiro - Puesto de veranada de la Numancia - Estancia la Nicolasa - El portezuelo - El galpon Victoria - Estancia Bahia - Estancia Vista Allegre - Estancia La esperanza - Perito Moreno.

We traveled with four horses (riding horses and one pack horse) covering 20-30 km a day sometimes pushing to 35km (which was way too much and not recommended). We stopped for lunch for one hour or two depending on how much free time we had. We seized any opportunity for the horses to get a good feed. We would unpack the pack horse at every lunch break, and unsaddle the other horses for them to have a roll. With this schedule, the animals ended bigger than when they started the journey.

Our horses:

- Dadirri, criollo mestizo (with draft horse) - Zaino colorado

- HuCannabis, criollo mestizo (with draft horse), Dadirri's step brother, zaino colorado

- Mantecol, criollo mestizo, gateado

- Django, criollo mestizo, oscuro

The objective of this adventure was not rush and lock in as many kms as possible but to "tune in" with the environment and people we meet. CARPE DIEM.
